The company was founded in July 2007 through the merger of two cooperatives with more than 60 years of experience: SCA Virgen del Castillo and SCA Olivarera Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno. In 2020, the Rute Agricultural Cooperative SCA joined the company, bringing the total number of family members to more than 7,000.

The company primarily offers extra virgin olive oils, highlighting products such as Rincón de la Subbética, Parqueoliva Serie Oro, Almaoliva Arbequino, Almaoliva Bio, Almaoliva Gran Selección, Almaoliva Gastronomía, Parqueoliva, and Rentas del Duque. It also sells quince vinegar, San Nicasio potato chips, and specialty products such as Botellas con Alma and Oleo Latte.
