History
The company began in 1956 running a bar-horchateria and producing horchata for its own consumption. In 1966, it began distributing to other establishments, and in 1978, it partnered with a tiger nut supplier to create CHUFASUC. After the dissolution of this partnership in 1982, it regained its brand and market position as MERCADER CB. In 1983, it moved to Paterna, and in 1998, it launched a line for mass distribution. In 2004, it was incorporated as HORCHATAS MERCADER SL, expanding its facilities and automating production. It has obtained quality certifications such as ISO 22000 and IFS, and since 2013, it has expanded its presence to more than 18 countries. In recent years, it has launched innovative products such as UHT horchata, smoothies, plant-based drinks, and organic horchata.

It offers a wide range of products, including traditional horchata, UHT horchata, organic horchata, plant-based drinks, smoothies, slushies in various flavors (horchata, lemon, coffee, barley, milkshake, strawberry, mandarin, coconut, pineapple), horchata popsicles, and slushie cocktails like the mojito. It also offers innovative formats such as frozen single-serve beverages and products tailored for the hospitality industry and mass retailers.
