Cooperativa Castellana de Ganaderos was founded in the early fifties, when 14 farmers decided to group together to make sheep's cheese in the traditional way.
The cattle tradition of Campo Real is an established fact, and without a doubt the bet on the sheep that a group of farmers made in its day constituting the Castellana de Ganaderos Cooperative, has been a key piece in its development.
They...bet on working to maintain the tradition of a genuine product, with the own and unique characteristics that the pastures of these lands have always provided. Good part of the success it has the production system that they implanted between the different herds and the own cheese factory; model to follow not only in our country, but has been widely praised by experts from around the world.
At present, Castellana de Ganaderos can be considered one of the most important sheep cooperatives nationwide.
In this cooperative all farmers are committed to quality and for this reason, the cooperative takes advantage of the beneficial qualities of the raw material delivered and offers a better price to all those farmers that achieve quality excellence.
