Activity
The company is dedicated to the marketing, packaging, and distribution of fruits and vegetables in the Canary Islands, working with both conventional agriculture and waste-free and organic products.
History
SAT La Alosnera was founded in October 2009 by a group of farmers who, in early 2010, organized themselves as an OPFH (fruit and vegetable producer organization) with the goal of improving the economic conditions and profitability of their products. Currently, the organization distributes its production across much of the archipelago and manages aid for farmers through European Community programs.
Product types
It offers conventional fruits and vegetables, zero-waste products under the Aloscero brand (such as papayas, mangoes, radishes, strawberries, onions, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, avocados, squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes, lettuce, cauliflower, lemons, and oranges) and is developing a line of organic products.
Mission
The company seeks to improve farmers' working lives, promote sustainable and healthy agriculture, and respond to the demand for fresh, waste-free, and environmentally friendly products by progressively increasing organic production.
