VIÑA ZORZAL WINES

Viña Zorzal Wines is a wine company in DO Navarra and DOC Rioja In this project we rescued the Navarrese autochthonous varieties that had been left aside and we elaborated varietal wines that we want to value for their authenticity and simplicity, wines that speak for themselves and that are available to everyone. In these first years, our work with the Graciano has already begun to stand out and ...receive recognition from the most important wine critics. After this success with graciano, our next step was to work with Navarra's own variety: Garnacha. On the one hand we wanted to make a rosé as before, authentic, without artifice, the one of a lifetime. And on the other hand we were impatient to elaborate Grenache wines with the complexity provided by old vines. Our partner and friend Rafael Reverte made our dream come true. He showed us the treasure we had very close to the winery; very old vineyards abandoned in the term of Fitero, where the Ebro valley ends and the Iberian System begins. This is how the Viña Zorzal project focused on the terroir, vineyard wines that show the typicity of this special area. The 2013 vintage was the first for this project of farms with its first two wines: Viña Zorzal Malayeto and Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos.
