When Agustín Cubero built the first winery in 1881 in a small town called Godojos, they never imagined that their family in the 21st century would continue with their tradition.
At the beginning the infrastructures only consisted of a network of cellars and underground passages. He lived with the wines they were pampered and it became the axis of their lives. the effort of his work, the illusion, together with the quality of his grapes, made him continue with his son Tomas Cubero.
Years passed and in 1953 his grandson Agustín Cubero began to expand, modernize and market their wines nationally. In 1980, her children Mª Isabel and J.Javier, following the family tradition, the affection and enthusiasm of their family joined their parents and several years later in 1997 they moved to Calatayud and created a new winery where they have until now made several extensions with stainless steel tanks and French and American oak barrels and have the most modern processing techniques. Today, the Cubero family is the one that directly controls the whole winery so that the fifth generation continues doing it as well as their ancestors. Once the grape acquires the degree of maturity and balance of acidity, the different varieties begin to work, combining the most modern methods of temperature control, chemical and sensory analysis for its tification and stabilization, conjugating it with the experience of our family tradition .
