CLOS MONTEBUENA red wine bottle 0.75 L reserve

A selection of old Tempranillo vineyards from around Labastida, grown on calcareous soil at an altitude of between 450 and 670 meters above sea level. A four-day cold pre-fermentation maceration followed by spontaneous fermentation in small open tanks, each plot being prepared separately with manual pumping over and treading. The wine is then aged for 18 months in 225-liter French oak barrels. The wine has a deep cherry core and a clean, bright finish. Aromas of red fruit and black licorice intermingle with menthol and balsamic nuances against a backdrop of elegant wood notes. Powerful, with a very long palate. The wine has a sweet initial attack that opens to a present and integrated acidity and leads to a finish where polished tannins emerge, leaving a long and persistent aftertaste.
