CASTILLO LABASTIDA red wine bottle 0.75 L aged

From the more than fifty plots that make up the Labastida vineyard, we select a minimum of two plots and a maximum of five per area. The vast majority of the vines in these vineyards are Tempranillo, where they coexist with some Garnacha. We harvest and make wine by area, starting with the lowest, at 450 metres above sea level, and ending with the highest, above 650 metres. After making the wine, we age the wines for 12 months in 225-litre French and American oak barrels. Picota cherry colour with violet reflections and a medium-high layer. Aromas of liquorice, lollipop and red fruits, which highlight the character of the vintage, mixed with hints of pastries, coffee and balsamic nuances. Sweet on the palate that gives way to a balanced acidity that provides freshness. In the final passage through the mouth, the wine is round and elegant. The aftertaste again recalls the intensity and aromatic profile of the wine.
