Terras Gauda Black Label White Wine 75 cl

VARIETIES 70% Albariño 23% Caíño Blanco 7% Loureira VINEYARDS Vineyards of 760 hectares between our own and associated vineyards, something unusual in the area, which allows us to have complete control over the growing cycle. Manual harvest. The schist soil, a type of slate that is not common in the area, is less deep than the granite soil, poorer, with higher quality and lower grape production. Vineyards located on slopes, not in fertile and productive hollows. Vines on trellises, less productive, but with better exposure to the sun, which allows for better ripening, with a higher sugar content and better degradation of malic acid. VINIFICATION For this wine, we select plots of high quality and high acidity. The varieties are not vinified separately, the mixture is made once the three musts have been extracted. Fermentation takes place in barrels for 5 months and in foudres for 7, always with their lees. Rea I iza malolactic fermentation. First Rías Baixas O Rosal wine fermented in barrel. The first harvest was in 7993. TASTING NOTES Good balance between fruit, freshness and ageing in barrel: very ripe fruit in balance with toasted, creamy, smoky and spicy oak notes. Notable ageing potential of at least 5 years.
