Since its inception, Lanson champagnes have been made with a majority of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to achieve a perfect balance between power and finesse. The grapes grown on the more than 500 hectares in the heart of the vineyards of the Champagne region offer a great variety of choice and allow for an exquisite selection of the magnificent plots. The freshness and energy so appreciated in the Lanson style are closely related to the traditional winemaking method without malolactic fermentation, a historical choice of the house. Lanson gives special importance to fruit and the richness of aromas in his search for the purity of his wines. The wines from the different estates are vinified separately. During a series of tastings, they are evaluated and classified by aroma families. Blending is the art of achieving a wine greater than the sum of its parts. The diversity of flavors and the talent of the chef de caves Hervé Dantan achieve an ideal balance between fruit, elegance and freshness. Added to the richness of the varieties and estates is that of the vintages. The addition of reserve wines contributes to increasing the quality of young wines.
