Pisco El Gobernador pays homage to Felipe Margutt Donaire, decorated patriot and governor of the Ovalle region, remembered for investing his meager belongings in the welfare of his people after Chile's war of independence. Its uniqueness lies in the grape varieties that make up the wine that is later distilled in a copper still: Muscat of Alexandria and Muscat rosé, the most aromatic, harvested in the Ovalle area, in the Limarí Valley. In them, and in the calcareous condition of the soils of this region, lies the peculiar freshness and aromatic exuberance of this pisco, which seduces with notes of roses, jasmine and candied citrus.
