History
The company traces its origins to December 1891, when a group of monks settled in the Trappist Monastery of Palencia and opened the first chocolate factory. Over the years, the company has gone through different stages, including the sale of the factory by the monks, the acquisition by the Rumasa Group in 1982, and later by the Europraline Group in 2013. Several image updates and facility modernizations have been carried out, as well as the elimination of palm oil from its products in 2018. In 2021, they celebrated their 130th anniversary and launched the reforestation project "Planting the Future With You." In 2022, they continued with sustainability initiatives, such as the installation of a photovoltaic park.

Product types
The company offers a wide range of chocolate products, including chocolates, bars, instant chocolates, nougats, and chocolate bars. Among its most notable products are Bombonísimos, the Trapa Taza 1L brick, bars from the Intenso range, different varieties of nougat, and products with no added sugar.

Mission
The company's fundamental goal is to reflect its passion for chocolate in the quality of its products and raw materials, in addition to maintaining a commitment to the environment through initiatives such as eliminating palm oil and reforestation projects. Its long-term vision includes sustainability and international expansion.
