Caves Bohigas is a winery that produces wines and cavas with more than eight centuries of history. It is located in a privileged enclave of the "Conca del l'Anoia", in Òdena, specifically, to the cellars and vineyards of Can Macià, with more than 35 hectares of vineyards and 200 hectares, among vineyards, fields of cereals and forests .
With more than 800 years old, Can Macià, classified of historical and artistic interest, is appreciated for the beauty of its buildings. Around the manor house - which maintains the authentic style of Catalan farmhouse - they raise the different spaces of the cellar and the cellars, as well as the chapel, which was built in 1922 in devotion to the Virgen de la Merced and contains frescoes by Josep Pey
Currently, a team of fourteen people works in the cellars, and the annual production is around 650,000 bottles, between 560,000 bottles of cava and 90,000 bottles of wine.
For the foreign market, and for thirteen years, Bohigas has been part of Terra Nostra de Vinos, a consortium formed by five wineries of different denominations of origin. Almost 90% of the production is distributed in the foreign market.
