Birba

Activity
Preparation, packaging and marketing of cookies

History
Birba's story begins at the end of the 19th century in Camprodon, Girona, where the Birba family opened a grocery store and later a confectionery. In 1893, they began making biscuits by hand, which became the business's main product due to their durability and growing demand. The first factory opened in 1929, and the brand gained prestige for the quality of its products. During the Spanish Civil War, the factory was rebuilt after several damages. In 1961, Llorenç Birba Cordomí was recognized for his dedication. In 1987, the company changed owners and was modernized. In the 1990s, it expanded its business and broadened its product range. A new factory opened in 2008, and in 2013, it was taken over by a group of Catalan investors. The company has always maintained its artisanal production and high-quality ingredients.

Product types
It offers a wide variety of cookies, highlighting the Núria ranges (classic, whole wheat, sugar-free, gluten-free, and organic), assorted products (Camprodon, Imperial, and Selectas de Chocolate), and specialty products such as Mos, Tast, Cubanos, Fruits d'Or, Ametllats, Brisalets, Neules, and Saladetes. It also produces special editions and formats for the hospitality industry.

Mission
The company's goal is to produce the highest quality cookies possible, maintaining artisanal processes and using only natural ingredients, adapting to different tastes and needs without losing its philosophy of naturalness and excellence.
