History
The company's origins date back to 1890 in Jumilla, founded to meet the demand for wine from France following the phylloxera crisis. Over the course of more than 130 years and five generations, García-Carrión has evolved from a family winery to a leading company in the sector, diversifying its offering and expanding both nationally and internationally. In the 1980s, it introduced wine in carton packaging and later diversified into juices and other beverages under the Don Simón brand. It has acquired several iconic wineries in wine-producing regions of Spain and has focused on innovation, sustainability, and internationalization, consolidating its position as the leading winery in Europe and the fourth largest in the world.
