History
Legumbres Pedro SL was founded in 1964 in Alcalá de los Gazules, Cádiz, initially selling Andalusian chickpeas purchased from local farmers. During the 1980s, it established itself as a leading company in Andalusia. In the 1990s, it adapted its offering to the new formats demanded by supermarkets and large retailers. In recent years, it has invested in technology, expanding its product range and modernizing its facilities, which are due to open in 2023, consolidating its brands nationwide.
Product types
It offers a wide range of dried and cooked legumes (chickpeas, lentils, and various varieties of beans), rice, gluten-free flours (chickpea and quinoa), quinoa, and legume-based prepared dishes. Highlights include Escacena PGI Chickpeas, Chickpea Flour, Don Pedro Quinoa, and prepared stews such as Chickpeas with cuttlefish or Judión with pumpkin.
