Mahou Maestra Dunkel 33 centilitre bottle with 6.1% alcohol. Mahou Maestra Dunkel beer is a dark lager beer worthy of the great masters. It is a recipe from 1908, inspired by the traditional Munich Dunkel style originating in Germany. For greater enjoyment it is recommended to consume it between 8º and 10º C. Appearance: beer with a small proportion of coloured malt, much more toasted, determining the black colour and intense body, providing notes of coffee and chocolate to Mahou Maestra Dunkel beer. Aroma: Mahou Maestra Dunkel beer has an aroma of toasted notes, coffee and chocolate, with a slight smoky touch. Flavour: Mahou Maestra Dunkel combines bitter and semi-aromatic hop varieties of European origin, responsible for the bitterness, and lager yeast. In the mouth it has a moderate and silky body, with a slightly persistent soft bitterness. Made with three types of malt: 90% Munich malt, which due to its higher roasting contributes this type of notes to the beer and which, together with a part of lightly roasted Pilsen malt, builds the body and texture of this beer. The mashing is carried out in the traditional way through a triple tempering or decoction process, much longer than usual, and which consists of boiling a part of the volume of the mash (with a higher proportion of grain), to then pour it back into the main mash and thus raise the temperature quickly and in a controlled manner.
