History
The company dates back to the 1920s, when the González Alonso family moved to Luciana (Ciudad Real) and opened a grocery store. In 1965, Nicolás González Alonso and his wife took over the family business, adding a butcher shop and beginning to produce hams and cured meats. Over time, the company grew, building its own facilities and specializing in the salting and curing of hams and shoulders. In the 1990s, the second generation joined the company and boosted commercial expansion and exports. In 2010 and 2017, the boning and slicing facilities were expanded, and in 2024, the curing and slicing capacity was increased. Currently, the company exports to more than 50 countries and is in its third generation.
Product types
The company offers Iberian and Serrano hams (whole pieces, sliced, and mini hams), shoulders, Iberian cured meats (loin, chorizo, salchichón), Iberian ham broths and creams, special batches and packs, and ham carving accessories. Among its most notable products are acorn-fed Iberian ham, additive-free Gran Reserva Serrano ham, mini hams, Iberian cured meats, and 100% natural broths.
