Soybean paste with rice, pasteurized. Sweet miso from white rice. Shiro miso is produced by natural enzymatic fermentation of rice and soybeans for 7 days. It is lighter in flavor and texture than other misos. Ideal for seasoning soups, sauces, vegetable dishes, noodles and stews. The best miso for making a sweet salad dressing, just mix it with oil and vinegar.
