Lillet Blanc 75cl

Lillet Blanc is an aperitif created by the Lillet Frères company, founded in 1872 by wine merchants Paul and Raymond Lillet, in Podensac, in the Bordeaux region of France. All stages of production are carried out at the Lillet distillery, and the original recipe is jealously guarded by the Cellar Master, ensuring Lillet's iconic status as the quintessential Bordeaux aperitif. The finest white wines are combined to create the Lillet Blanc aperitif. It is the result of a careful blend of Sauvignon Blanc, for its freshness and aroma; Semillon, for its structure and long finish; and Muscadelle, for its floral bouquet and elegance. The wine is blended with fine artisanal orange infusions made from sweet orange peels from Spain and bitter oranges from Haiti. This aperitif is cold-mapped in 48% neutral beetroot alcohol, alongside a secret blend of macerated fruits, produced at Lillet's Podensac distillery. A small amount of quinine from Peru is added to the blend before aging the liquid for 6 to 12 months in oak barrels, the wood sourced from French forests. To achieve balance, the master distiller combines young, fresh, and fruity Lillet vintages with smooth, more concentrated older harvests, making careful quality adjustments before bottling.
