• Flax and chia contain alpha-linolenic acid, which helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels (the beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 g of this fatty acid, or 3 slices of toast). This is the only product in its category to have received the prestigious recognition from the Spanish Heart Foundation for its heart-healthy properties.
• It's made without sugar, industrial additives, improvers, or artificial preservatives. It's made with the only ingredients of bread: bread. We work with care and bake them slowly to achieve a unique loaf.
• We use sourdough, a natural yeast that, in addition to enhancing texture and flavor, results in a bread that is more digestible, has a lower glycemic index, and helps improve mineral absorption. Our sourdough is made with whole wheat flour ground in a stone mill, which helps the flour retain its nutritional and sensory qualities.
• We use 100% whole-grain flour, preserving all the layers of the grain, thus maintaining its high nutritional profile and producing a bread with a high fiber content.
• During the breadmaking process, most of its moisture is lost, and the starch is transformed into dextrins, simple sugars that are much easier to digest.
