History
Founded in 1906 by Vicente Álvarez García in La Velles (Salamanca), the company later moved to Gomecello with the arrival of the railway. It has remained in the same family for four generations and is currently managed by Ana Álvarez Díez. The company remains located in Gomecello and maintains its family-run character.
Product types
It offers more than 40 types of legumes, cereals, and seeds. Among its most notable products are La Armuña Lentils and Fuentesaúco Chickpeas (both with Protected Geographical Indication), Pedrosillo Chickpeas (with the Guarantee Mark), and Ochavada White Beans, all of which bear the Tierra de Sabor Quality Designation.
Mission
The company's goal is to promote the consumption of quality legumes, highlighting their importance in the Mediterranean diet and encouraging healthy eating, especially among young people. It is also committed to social responsibility by collaborating with NGOs and sponsoring sporting events.
