History
The history of Bardinet SA begins in 1857 with Paul Bardinet, who became interested in rum and perfected its production. The company grew with the Negrita brand, becoming a benchmark in rum tradition. In 1895, Edouard Bardinet moved the winery to Bordeaux, expanding the range of spirits. In 1983, the distribution of Sir Edward's Scotch Whisky was added, and in 1993, Bardinet joined the La Martiniquaise Group, strengthening its international presence. The company subsequently expanded its portfolio with brands such as Bandeira, Pujol, Bonet, and Gecko, and acquired Giró Gin in 2014. Currently, Bardinet has facilities in Gelida (Barcelona) and is part of a leading global business group.
