Activity
Vinos Barco is a wine cooperative located in O Barco de Valdeorras, Ourense, dedicated to the production and marketing of wines with the Valdeorras designation of origin. The company brings together more than 300 members who cultivate vineyards and produce wines, maintaining traditional methods and a focus on sustainability.

History
The cooperative was founded in 1958 and harvested its first wine in 1962. Initially, it brought together around 800 members to facilitate the marketing of small farmers' harvests. It was a pioneer in the region by installing the first wine bottling plant in Valdeorras and one of the first in Galicia. Vinos Barco is recognized for having bottled the first Godello wine in Spain. Over the years, the company has maintained its winemaking tradition, passing on knowledge from generation to generation, and has adapted to changing times with innovation and a commitment to sustainability.

Product types
The company offers a variety of red and white wines under the Valdeorras designation of origin. Highlights include Albar (a young red wine made with Mencía and Garnacha), Moza Fresca (a white wine made with Dona Branca and Godello), Menciño Summum (a 100% red wine made with Mencía), Aurensis (a 100% barrel-fermented Godello white wine), Viña Abad Summum (white wine), Menciño (red wine), Valdeouro (a red wine made with Alicante and Mencía), Viña Abad (white wine), and Vibar (white wine of the year). All wines are vegan and are made from the region's own vineyards.

Mission
The company's fundamental purpose is to produce wines that reflect the essence and quality of the Valdeorras region, maintaining traditional and sustainable methods and taking care of every detail of the process from the vineyard to the bottle. Its long-term goal is to continue growing, innovating, and offering quality wines while respecting tradition and the natural environment.
