The company's history began in the 1920s, when Don Severino Fernández produced wines using traditional methods to supply taverns in Ourense. In the 1960s, its wines became well-known in Galician cities. In the 1980s, the second generation consolidated its presence in Galicia and expanded into the national and international markets, introducing technological innovations and new single-varietal wines. Currently, the third generation of the Fernández family runs the winery, maintaining tradition and adapting to changes in the sector.

The company mainly produces white and red wines under the Ribeiro Designation of Origin, using native varieties such as Treixadura, Godello, Torrontés, Albariño, Loureira, Mencía, Sousón, Brancellao, Caíño and Ferrol. Among its featured products are: Cunqueiro El Primero, Máis de Cunqueiro Torrontés, Máis de Cunqueiro Godello, Cunqueiro III Milenium, Cunqueiro Blanco, Cunqueiro Tinto, Cuqueira, Camiño dos Faros, Casal do Vila Blanco and Casal do Vila Tinto. In addition, they produce pomace and liqueurs such as coffee liqueur, cream liqueur, herbal liqueur and brandy.

The company's fundamental purpose is to extract the maximum potential from native grape varieties through a combination of family tradition and modern techniques, seeking to create wines with their own unique personality and recognized quality. Its long-term goal is to maintain the family tradition and connection to the land, evolving to satisfy the most discerning palates and consolidate its position in the wine industry.
