Founded in Beaune in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest 'Maisons' in Burgundy. At the beginning of the 19th century, they settled in the Castle of Beaune and today they still have their headquarters and offices there, in the fortifications of the castle built by Louis XI in 1482. With 130 hectares on the Côte d'Or, of which 12 Ha are Grands Crus and 74 Ha Premiers Crus, Bouchard Père & Fils, over the centuries has managed to build one of the most prestigious domains in Burgundy, renowned for the exceptional quality of its wines and the wide diversity of its vineyards. For more than 280 years, Bouchard Père & Fils has embraced a combination of tradition and innovation in its production techniques to ensure its wines have the fullest expression of the terroir from which they come. Throughout history they have created one of the largest wine-growing domains in Burgundy, very diverse: it has almost a hundred different "climats", prestigious "monopoles", such as Beaune Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus or Beaune du Château.
