Few families like Torres have done as much for the international diffusion of our wines. Marimar Estate is perhaps his most unique project. Founded and led by Marimar Torres, this small winery located in California produces Chardonnay whites and Pinot Noir reds. In recent years it has begun to grow Spanish varieties, already having an Albariño, a Tempranillo on the market, and recently a small bottled Godello. He has also planted 3 ancestral varieties recovered by Familia Torres in Catalonia, which he hopes will prosper in his vineyard. Marimar Torres, a prestigious wine businesswoman and fourth generation of a family that has been growing wines in Catalonia since the 17th century, inherited her love for the world of wine from her parents since she was a child and has been a key figure in the export of Torres wines in California , as well as the implantation in North American lands of a winery that has established itself in the elaboration of high quality wines, mainly of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties. Today Marimar lives in California, in the Russian River Valley, and exports his wines all over the world. His daughter Cristina, who has been working at the winery since January 2020, ensures the continuity of the company as a second generation family in the United States.
