Esplendor sparkling wine Vardon Kennett bottle 750ml

The winery dedicated to the production of quality sparkling wines and located on the Santa Margarida d'Agulladolç estate of the Torres family, in Alto Penedès, wanted to pay tribute to this British citizen who resided on this property at the beginning of the 19th century. , adopting his name. Son of a historic family of maritime merchants, Daniel Vardon Kennett was born in 1781 on the island of Guernsey (English Channel). On one of his trips, he arrived in Barcelona, where he fell in love with its wines and culture. He then decided to dedicate himself to the trade and export of local wines to England and Saint Peter Port (Guernsey). Years later, Vardon Kennett married María Francisca de Ferrer from Barcelona and began a new life among the vineyards. The bottle design recalls Vardon Kennett's maritime past. Exclusively molded, its sinuous lines and reliefs refer to the waves of the sea, in the same way that the label, with black letters edged in gold, is reminiscent of a shell due to its undulations. The shield that reproduces the label is the original of the property, still visible on the main façade.
