Our concept is based on the bottling of old wines and brandies, without cold filtering, without stabilizing or clarifying, without adding sweeteners or sulfites, thus preserving the purity of them to the maximum and focusing on their selection and aging. After some years working on these lines, in 2002, the Regulatory Council came to reinforce our work by implementing the system of Certification of Old Age, VORS (+30 years) and VOS (+20 years), which we welcomed as pioneers of the system and in which we keep supporting the wines with the highest aging and highest quality.
This way of bottling Jerez wines is what is known as "en rama" and that in recent years has had a certain boom between younger, fine and manzanilla types of wine. In our opinion, it is the only way to return the Jerez wine in each of its styles, the lost authenticity and identity.
History
The winery dates back to 1650, when it was founded as Bodegas CZ. Over the centuries, it has been a supplier to the British and Spanish royal families and has been linked to the history of sherry. In 1998, it was refounded as Bodegas Tradición by Joaquín Rivero, who revived the family tradition and focused on very old wines. In 2016, Helena Rivero took over as president, continuing the winery's expansion and prestige.
Product types
The company offers certified sherry wines in the VOS (over 20 years old) and VORS (over 30 years old) categories, such as Fino, Oloroso VORS, Amontillado VORS, Palo Cortado VORS, Cream VOS, Pedro Ximénez VOS, as well as brandy (Brandy Tradición and Brandy Platinum) and limited vintage editions.
