The company originated on a farm located in Peñaranda de Duero, Burgos. In 1960, the owners of a forest known as El Bosque decided to dedicate part of their land to cereal crops and simultaneously planted the Viña Vieja, the foundation of the current winery. The name Bosque de Matasnos comes from the local history associated with firewood harvesting in the area. Since then, the winery has evolved to become a benchmark in the production of quality wines in the region.
