Capel Vinos was born in 1956 as a small local winery in the city of Murcia. Its founders traveled through the small towns of southeastern Spain looking for wine produced by cooperatives of small farmers to package it in their facilities and serve the market of their city and surroundings. The success of its wines with its peculiar character as a product of the land, led to a rapid expansion of the ...company throughout the eastern Spanish area where the winery was positioned as one of the most important companies in the area. The decade of the seventies meant a continuation in the growth of the company since the peculiar characteristics of the wines of the southeast of Spain were very appreciated by the population of the rest of the country, which allowed to expand the market with distribution agreements in Madrid, Catalonia, Andalusia and the north of Spain. The nineties were the years of the beginning of the international expansion of Capel Vinos SA. Encouraged by the success among the Spanish public, a process of participation in international fairs was initiated, which allowed to close agreements with importers from European countries who were quickly interested in the peculiarities of the wines offered by the company. Finally, the new XXI century with its process of commercial globalization, allowed access to markets outside of Europe interested importers of the five continents for the wines of our company with its marked character of product of the land and the distinctive characteristics of the wines produced in the Spanish southeast.
