The company's origins date back to 1972 with the founding of Mas Palau Digosa, the parent company of Casa Westfalia. The Casa Westfalia retailer was founded in 1980, and imports and trade fair participation began in 1988. In the 1990s, the company expanded nationally and opened new facilities in Vulpellac in 1997, which were expanded in 2004. In 2016, it was acquired by the German group Wernsing Food Family, and in 2022, it revamped its corporate image and website.
