History
Casa Mariol is a third-generation family business founded in 1945 in Batea, Terra Alta. Its founders, Josep Maria Bes and Josefina Aguiló, began selling wine in local markets. In 1971, the second generation introduced innovative varieties such as Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The third generation has fostered a new wine culture, bringing it to a broader audience while maintaining a commitment to sustainability and the region's winemaking tradition.
Product types
The company mainly produces single-varietal wines and vermouths. Its products include Vermouth Negre, Vermouth Blanc, Garnatxa Blanca Selecció, Garnatxa Negra Selecció, Syrah Reserva, Chardonnay, Verdejo, Garnatxa Rosat, Samsó Criança, Cabernet Sauvignon Criança, Ull de Llebre Criança, Merlot Reserva, Cava and other liqueurs such as Mistela de Garnatxa, Moscatell and Vi Ranci. Some of their products have organic and vegan certification.
