History
Champivil's origins date back to 1977, when Andrés Castelo founded a wild mushroom export company, following the family tradition started by his mother, a pioneer in the purchase and sale of wild mushrooms since 1949 in Vilalba. The company expanded into European and domestic markets, particularly France, and in 1982 incorporated the production of canned goods. In 2000, together with his sons, he founded Champivil SL, expanding the range of canned goods and introducing typical Galician vegetables such as collards and turnip greens. To this day, it remains a benchmark in wild and native products.


Product types
Champivil offers a variety of native and wild products from Galicia, including Lugo turnip greens, collards, wild mushrooms (such as Boletus edulis and Hydnum repandum), health plants (weeds), native infusions, medicinal plants, jams, natural nettles, boletus powder, and Galician turnip greens broth. Among the most notable products are Lugo turnip greens, Galician collards, wild mushrooms, and Galician turnip greens broth.

The company's goal is to recover and offer the best local products from Galicia year-round, guaranteeing their authenticity, quality, and origin, and promoting natural and healthy eating.
