The company was founded in 1946 by José Espona after acquiring a flour mill in Rubí (Barcelona). Over the decades, it has introduced innovations such as durum wheat semolina pasta in Spain, expanded its production capacity and product range, and developed strategic alliances. Highlights include the creation of Spain's first semolina mill, its consolidation as a leading brand in the 1970s, the launch of gluten-free products, and the internationalization of its products, which are now consumed in more than 40 countries. In 2019, it was acquired by ProA Capital, and in 2020, it acquired Ta-tung.
Product types
It offers more than 200 varieties of products, including dried pasta (classic, whole-wheat, egg, multi-grain, multi-vegetable, gluten-free, organic, children's), fresh and stuffed pasta, couscous, sauces (Bolognese, carbonara, pesto, Neapolitan, Sicilian, among others), broths, flours and breadcrumbs (classic, crispy, with garlic and parsley, gluten-free).
