The company was founded in 1904 by Francisco Lafuente Torrón in O Castro, Vilanova de Arousa (Pontevedra), initially as a fish salting factory. In 1926, his sons joined the business and in 1942 began producing canned preserves. After several generations of family members, management passed to Rosa Lafuente Lestón and later to her nephews, who continue the family tradition in the same original location.
