Cooperativa Agrícola de Prades is an entitat amb a pes historòric a nivell local. Founded in 1946, neix amb l'objectiu to donate a sort of agricultural production with a volunteer service and defense of the producers' drets. Ben aviat s'hi defineixen 4 sections: potato, hazelnut, cereals i castanya. L'entitat viu the seu màxim splendor als anys 60 amb a total of 260 socis, fet that shows the importance that it had in the socio-economic activity of the vila.
It was at that moment that the cooperative gave a new impulse to the seva activitat amb l'obertura d'un economat (1961). Aquest establiment has been clau al llarg of the temps, ja that to donés servei als socis com to consumer cooperative, has been an important space for the commercialization of a part of the local production.
