Activity
Grupo Danone, better known as Danone, is a French agri-food multinational based in Paris, France. It has 4 activities: fresh milk products, water, infant nutrition and medical nutrition.

History
Danone was founded in 1919 by Isaac Carasso in Barcelona, who began selling yogurt in pharmacies to help children with digestive problems. The company expanded to France and then the United States, consolidating its international presence. In 1973, following the merger with BSN, it became a leading dairy and beverage group. Over the decades, Danone has acquired brands, invested in research and development, and evolved toward a portfolio focused on health and sustainability. In 2020, it adopted the status of a "Société à Mission," integrating its social and environmental purpose into its bylaws. In 2022, it launched the "Renew Danone" strategy to drive sustainable and profitable growth.

Product types
Danone offers a wide range of products across three main lines: dairy and plant-based products (such as yogurts, desserts, and plant-based drinks), water (natural mineral water and functional drinks), and specialized nutrition (infant formulas, medical foods, and nutritional supplements). Its most notable brands include Activia, Actimel, Alpro, Danone, Danonino, Silk, Evian, Volvic, Bonafont, Aptamil, Fortimel, and Nutricia.

Mission
Danone's mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible. Its vision is to operate sustainably, respecting natural resources, cultures, and people, and generating a positive economic, social, and environmental impact. It aspires to be a sustainable company and certified as a B-Corp globally by 2025.
