Activity
"Attachment to tradition without renouncing progress", prayed the first bottles of El Mocanero in the late 80's of the last century. It was the beginning of a project, based on the earth and its centuries-old vines that covered our landscape and inspired our wines. The winery is the fruit of José Miguel Díaz Torres' endeavor and enthusiasm, which ends by embarking his family on this exciting adventure of producing grapes and producing wines in a wine-growing area such as Tacoronte-Acentejo.
History
The winery was founded in 1989 by José Miguel Díaz Torres and his wife, Aleyda Pérez López, as a family project with two vineyard plots. Over the years, the company has grown, undergoing renovations in the 1990s to adapt to market demands and modernize its facilities. Currently, the second generation of the family continues its management, maintaining tradition and adapting modern techniques. Since 1992, it has been part of the Tacoronte-Acentejo Designation of Origin.
Product types
The company produces various types of wines, primarily red, but also white and rosé. Highlights include traditional red wines (90% Listán Negro, 5% Negramoll, 5% Listán Blanco), Negramoll wines, carbonic maceration wines, and 100% Listán Blanco white wines.
Mission
The company's mission is to respect the winemaking tradition and legacy of its ancestors, extracting the essence of volcanic soils to produce quality, vibrant wines representative of the area, integrating technological advances and maintaining respect for the environment.
