History
Masdeu's origins date back to 1945 as a family bakery in Puigdàlber, near Barcelona. It later evolved into the production of food bases for the hospitality industry. In 2016, it acquired the French company Mariebel, expanding its capacity and expertise in puff pastry. In 2020, it incorporated Especialitats Vilà, specializing in sponge cake sheets, thus expanding its product range. It currently has two production plants and exports to more than 40 countries.


Product types
Masdeu offers fillings, including tartlets, puff pastry vol-au-vents, tulip cakes, mini wafer cones, sponge cake sheets, macarons, profiteroles, and éclairs. Highlights include mini wafer cones, puff pastry bases, and a range of organic puff pastries.
