Cofares was founded in 1944 by a group of pharmacists with the goal of improving pharmacy services. Throughout its history, it has experienced sustained growth, incorporating new technologies, expanding its warehouse network, and diversifying its services. It has launched its own brands, created a foundation, and expanded its operations internationally. Currently, it is a leader in the pharmaceutical distribution sector in Spain, managing an extensive logistics network and collaborating on innovation and humanitarian aid projects.

The company offers a full range of healthcare products and services, including the distribution of medicines, medical devices, parapharmacy, hospital medical equipment, and consulting and logistics services. Its notable products and services include its own brands Farline and Aposán, the Farmanager management software, the Nexo management tool, and logistics services through Farmavenix. It also provides financial and loyalty solutions for pharmacies, as well as international projects through OMFE.
