Frusana is an agricultural cooperative dedicated to the production, selection, packaging, and marketing of fruits, vegetables, and cut flowers, both nationally and internationally. It also operates a physical store and an online store for direct sales to consumers.


History
Founded in 1964 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz, Frusana began with 11 members and is currently comprised of more than 300 members and over 600 employees. Over its more than 50 years of existence, the cooperative has grown in cultivated area, facilities, and production volume, becoming a benchmark in agriculture in southern Spain and the European market.


Product types
The company offers a wide variety of vegetables (sweet potatoes, potatoes, zucchini, carrots, leeks, beets, bell peppers, watermelon, plum tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers, swede, violet-colored turnips, squash, and onions), fruits (Galia melons, watermelons, plum tomatoes), organic products, and phytosanitary products (fertilizers, seeds, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, nets, protective equipment, and biological formulations). Particularly noteworthy are sweet potatoes, carrots, leeks, bell peppers, and Galia melons. It is also one of the largest producers and marketers of cut flowers, especially standard and mini carnations.
