Activity
La Pila was born in 1942 in Navalperal de Pinares, Ávila, when the García family decided to start the activity.
In 1957 Inaugurates the "La Pila" butcher shop in Antón Martín market, right in the center of Madrid.
In 1979, Don Tomás García started the new manufacturing line in Velilla de San Antonio, Madrid.
The next step was at the beginning of the 90s, with the incursion into the HORECA sector; but not through traditional restoration, but through the first echoes of what outside our borders is called Food Service, and that nowadays it covers all the leisure areas of shopping centers in our country. We started working in this subsector of the modern restoration, applying our products in chains of pizzerias, Italian restaurants, burgers or thematic breweries.
In 2005, its production center moved to the current location of Loeches, with more than 5000 m2 of factory, within a plot of 11,000m2.
Due to changes in consumption habits in Spanish society, Pila Food S.A. it adapts and in 2010 it began to expand its range of products, parallel to the growth of the modern distribution of Spain (Supermarket, Hypermarkets, Department Stores). At that moment the brand LA BROCHE de LA PILA was born, specializing in the preparation of prepared dishes with Fun Roll, Fun Cheese, FUn toppings and Fun Tapas.
Since 2015 La Pila Food SA, is immersed in a process of expansion and improvement of processes, with the confidence to maintain, on the one hand, its range of dishes prepared in the most important retail chains of our country and, on the other hand, advancing in providing solutions to our customers of Mundo Food Services, developing new ingredients.
