History
The company was founded in 1932 by Jan Boone Sr. with the creation of a caramelized cookie called Lotus. Over the decades, it has expanded its product range and international presence, integrating new brands and acquiring companies in different snack segments. It has achieved important milestones such as its IPO in 1988, expansion into Asia and the Americas, and the addition of brands such as Peijnenburg, Annas, Kiddylicious, BEAR, and Peter's Yard. In recent years, it has invested in healthy snacks and established strategic alliances and new production facilities globally.

Product types
Lotus Bakeries offers a wide variety of snacks, grouped into three pillars: Lotus Biscoff (caramelized biscuits and derived products such as creams and chocolates), Lotus Natural Foods (healthy snacks under brands such as nākd, BEAR, TREK, Kiddylicious, and Peter's Yard), and Lotus Local Heroes (local brands such as Peijnenburg, Snelle Jelle, Annas, and Dinosaurus). Highlights include Lotus Biscoff biscuits, nākd and TREK bars, BEAR fruit snacks, Kiddylicious children's products, and Peter's Yard sourdough crackers.

Mission
Lotus Bakeries' mission is to brighten people's daily lives, anytime, anywhere, by offering great-tasting snacks under recognized brands. Its vision is to maximize the development of each brand, combining a long-term vision with agile decisions, and adapting its strategy to each brand's identity and context to meet consumer preferences globally.
