Activity
The company is dedicated to the manufacture and supply of flexible packaging for the food industry, offering comprehensive packaging solutions that include films and vacuum bags, with a focus on food protection and preservation.

History
The company was founded in 1948 by Alfons Niederwieser as a small machinery business for the food industry in Bolzano, Italy. In 1974, his son Manfred took over management and introduced new packaging technologies in Italy. In 1997, Alcom GmbH was established, specializing in printed and laminated packaging. In 2006, the family co-founded VF Verpackungen GmbH in Germany to secure the supply of flexible films. In 2012, Niederwieser KG and Alcom GmbH merged into Niederwieser AG, consolidating their activities in food processing and packaging. In 2024, the family acquired the entirety of VF Verpackungen GmbH, forming the Niederwieser Group and expanding its international presence, with the third generation at the helm.

Product types
It offers a wide range of flexible food packaging, including flexible films (Amilen and Combilen), vacuum bags (EasyVac PRO, BOSS, and GUSS), heat-resistant solutions, certified recyclable options, advanced flexographic printing, and specialty finishes (matte, gloss, tactile, paper-effect, wood-effect, or fabric-effect). Its products are designed for sectors such as fresh and cured meats, fish, vegan products, vegetables, cheeses, nuts, dried fruits, and pre-baked bread.

Mission
The company's mission is to contribute to a more conscious and responsible food industry, protecting food and helping to reduce waste through packaging that preserves both products and the planet. Its vision is to be the smartest provider of flexible barrier films for perishable foods globally, guided by values of quality, sustainability, speed, fairness, and personalized service.
