History
The company began its project in 1997, with a projected 24 hectares of vineyards under the direction of Dr. Richard Smart. In 1999, it pioneered the introduction of the Viognier variety to Spain and in 2001 produced its first harvest. It was incorporated in 2002 and expanded its vineyard in 2005. In 2006, it opened its winery, and in 2019, its vineyard was recognized as a Protected Designation of Origin.
Product types
The company offers wines made from both French (Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc) and Spanish (Garnacha, Cariñena, Monastrell) grape varieties. Highlights include Petit Hipperia, Hipperia, Alfonso Cortina, Vallegarcía Viognier, Vallegarcía Syrah, and Vallegarcía Garnacha-Cariñena. They also sell Magnum and Double Magnum editions of some wines.
