Lillet Rosé 75cl

The Lillet Rosé aperitif is produced at the Lillet distillery in Pondesac, Bordeaux, and belongs to the Lillet Frères company founded in 1872 by Paul and Raymond Lillet. The reference variety for Lillet Rosé is Semillon, which gives it structure and a persistent finish. Sauvignon Blanc provides juiciness and aroma, and Merlot is essential for chromatic vivacity. The Lillet Rosé aperitif is a subtle blend of rigorously selected Bordeaux wines (85%) and fruit liqueurs (15%) hand-made on site. The wine is blended with artisanal natural liqueurs made from sweet and bitter oranges, and with a secret blend of liqueurs including red fruits made in Pondensac. A small amount of quinine from Peru is added to the final blend, a recipe that has been maintained since the early 19th century. This aperitif is made in a similar way to rosé champagne, a blend of white and red wines. Lillet Rosé is unripe, and the macerated fruits are produced in parallel with the wine. It does not come into contact with wood during production, and is not made with Lillet Blanc. All the ingredients have been chosen for their quality, characteristics and complexity. The production process involves 6 careful phases, and six are also the months needed to obtain this magnificent Lillet aperitif. It is recommended to serve the Lillet Rosé aperitif very cold with a slice of orange, lemon or lime in a cocktail.
