History
The company began operations in 1910 as a small cheese factory in Sariego, founded by Máximo Gutiérrez and Joaquín Peña. In the 1940s, it moved to the capital of the Siero municipality, where it continues its operations. In 1980, Joaquín Peña, son of one of the founders, took over management and founded Sociedad Lácteos Lacpesa, expanding the distribution of its products nationally and internationally. Over time, the company expanded its facilities and modernized its production.
Product types
It offers more than 20 types of cheese, including goat cheese, sheep cheese, semi-cured mixed cheese, extra-cured cheese, blue cheese, EDAN-type block cheese, melted block cheese, and black rind mixed cheese.
