History
Goya Foods was founded in 1936 in New York by Prudencio Unanue and his wife, Carolina, with the initial goal of serving Hispanic families in the area. Over the years, the company grew to become the largest Hispanic food company in the United States, expanding its operations globally. In 1999, Goya launched operations in Europe, establishing its headquarters in Toledo, Spain, and consolidating its position as the largest distributor of Latin American products in Europe.

Product types
The company offers a wide range of Latin American food and beverage products, including beverages (coconut water, juices, soft drinks), chips and snacks, frozen foods (fruit pulp, vegetables, arepas, empanadas), canned goods (beans, pigeon peas, fish, fruits), candy and chocolate, spices and seasonings, nuts and oats, cookies, grains, flours and pasta, Mexican products (tortillas, sauces, chilies), refrigerated products (cheeses, sausages, arepas), and candles. Featured products include Goya beverages, Masarepa, stewed beans, arepas, tequeños, and other Mexican products.

Mission
The company's mission is to offer the highest quality and authenticity in Latin American cuisine, offering the broadest catalog of Latin American products in the European market. It seeks to uphold the promise of excellence and quality reflected in its motto: "If it's Goya, it has to be good," and to contribute to society through initiatives such as Goya Sport, promoting healthy habits and positive values.
