History
The estate where the company is located was acquired in 1503 by Queen Isabella the Catholic. In the 17th century, the Duke of Lerma built a palace for King Philip III. Over the centuries, the estate has witnessed important historical and cultural events. A hydroelectric dam was built in 1921, and in 1928 it was declared a model agricultural farm. In 1989, Javier Cremades de Adaro purchased the estate and began planting vineyards. In 1996, the first vintage was released under the PRADOREY brand. Since 2014, the company has focused on winemaking innovation and the recovery of traditional methods, such as the use of clay jars. In 2020, they began producing white wines and have continued to expand their facilities and projects.
Product types
The company offers red, rosé, and white wines made exclusively from its own grapes, highlighting products such as Finca La Mina (Reserva), Finca Valdelayegua (Crianza), Finca Real Sitio de Ventosilla (Gran Reserva), Finca La Recorba (Rosé), Finca Los Quemados (White), as well as signature wines such as Élite and Adaro. It also offers wine tourism experiences, tasting courses, accommodation at the inn, and catering services.
Mission
The company's mission is to combine tradition and innovation in the production of quality wines, with a strong commitment to sustainability, excellence, social responsibility, and respect for the environment and people. Its vision is to be a benchmark in the Ribera del Duero region, promoting local development and wine culture through responsible and sustainable practices.
